"In Unlocking the Message of the Bible, Sharon Warner provides the church with an excellent resource for assisting older youth and adults to engage in the important work of becoming thoughtful and skilled interpreters of the Bible. Within the book's pages, she explores key issues and skills central to the work of reading and interpreting the biblical text in meaningful ways for today's world. The sessions in this study are written in a clear and accessible style. The necessary notes and materials for leading each session are provided, and the session outlines are easy to follow"

"Sharon Warner places a very succinct, useful guide to biblical interpretation into the hands of Christian educators. If you are looking for a small group experience with some substance that tackles some tough questions about the Bible, I recommend this book. Sharon helps leaders and students understand that by learning the exegetics and hermeneutics of scripture one can truly get more out of reading the Bible. She tackles tough questions people have about the Bible by systematically educating readers as to how the Bible came to be and the nature of inspiration."
